Helping Children in Ghana Learn, Grow, and Thrive
JOCO Health and Education Foundation supports poor and needy school children in Ghana through education assistance, health support, school supplies, and community-based care.
Every contribution — big or small — goes directly toward keeping a child in school, healthy, and hopeful.

Two friends. One simple belief.
JOCO Health and Education Foundation was created by two friends who believe every child deserves a fair chance to succeed — regardless of family income or background.
In many communities across Ghana, bright and hardworking children miss school not because they lack ability, but because they lack basics: exercise books, uniforms, school fees, a meal, or care when they fall ill. We started JOCO to close that gap — one child, one classroom, one community at a time.
We work hand in hand with families, teachers, and community leaders, so that every cedi and every donated item reaches the children who need it most.
JOCO was founded by Eric and Joseph, two friends turned co-founders.
“A child who is healthy, supported, and in school today becomes the hope of a whole community tomorrow.”
What we are working towards
Our Mission
To improve the lives of poor and needy school children in Ghana by providing access to educational support, basic health assistance, school supplies, mentorship, and opportunities that help them build a better future.
Our Vision
To see every child in the communities we serve have the support, confidence, and resources needed to stay in school, stay healthy, and reach their full potential.
JOCO does not provide medical advice or medical treatment. Where health support is offered, it focuses on basic, practical assistance such as screenings, hygiene education and referrals — delivered alongside qualified health workers.
Practical support that keeps children learning
Our programmes focus on the everyday barriers that push children out of school — and the simple, practical support that keeps them in.
School Supplies & Learning Materials
Exercise books, pens, bags, uniforms, sandals, and reading materials — so no child sits in class without the tools to learn.
Tuition & School Fee Support
We help cover school-related fees and levies for children whose families cannot afford them, so money never ends a child's education.
Basic Health Outreach
Health screenings, first aid, hygiene education, and support for common childhood illnesses, because a sick child cannot learn.
Mentorship & Guidance
Encouragement, role models, and study guidance that help children build confidence and believe in their own future.
Community Partnerships
We team up with schools, churches, businesses, and local leaders to reach more children and make every effort go further.
Support for Vulnerable Children
Extra care for orphans and children in especially difficult situations, making sure the most vulnerable are never left behind.
Small acts. Real change.
We are a young foundation and we count carefully. These figures are updated as our work grows — follow our journey and watch them rise.
Nuaso Anglican Primary and Junior High School — January 2024
In January 2024, JOCO visited Nuaso Anglican Primary and Junior High School in Ghana, distributing more than 100 books to pupils and spending time with staff and students in the classroom. The photos below are from that visit.

We're a young foundation and this is one visit we can speak to in detail. As we run more distributions, we'll add them here with the same level of specificity — real dates, real schools, real numbers.

A note on the photos we use
We take care to protect the dignity and privacy of every child shown on this website. Photographs are used only with the appropriate consent of a parent, guardian or school, and we do not publish children's full names, exact locations, health information or personal circumstances alongside their images. If you have any concerns about a photograph on this site, please contact us.
Your gift keeps a child in school
When a family cannot afford books, fees or basic health care, a child's education quietly ends. Your donation helps change that story. Because we work directly with schools and families, even small gifts make a visible difference. Payments are processed securely by Paystack — we never see or store your card or mobile money details.
Amounts are shown in USD for convenience. Paystack processes the charge in Ghana Cedis (GHS) at an approximate rate — the exact GHS amount is shown before you're redirected to pay, and your card issuer handles the currency conversion on their end.
JOCO Health and Education Foundation is operated by JOCO Ghana Ltd, a company registered in Ghana (Reg. No. CS039670324, TIN C0063866307). Donation Policy.
